Birthday Gifts

So the other day my hubby asked me what I want for my birthday. I told him I have no clue why don't you put my birthday gift and 10 year wedding anniversary gift all in one. I would like a new wedding band set but I would settle just for a night out me and him.
Nothing much has been happening around the Brady house this weekend. We just chilled at home and played wii, cleaned and moved the living room around. It's a start of a new week and I'm sure more headaches as we fight with Deziree to do her homework and study her spelling words

Tax time...YAY

It's been a long day and it's only 4:30 pm. With Deziree not having school today it's been nothing but her being mean to Jackson and making him cry. I think there both going to bed early tonight. Dinner, showers and bed for them. On a good note though I got our taxes filed today. I can't wait to get them and pay off the bills and really start looking for a house. It might not be a fast look but at least we know we can start really really looking.  This post is going to be short becuase I have two kids fighting again ;-)

It’s almost February...

It’s almost February already. February!! And I am only now feeling like I am waking up from some kind of post-holiday slumber. I entered the New Year thinking this will be a great year things will finally go our way and our family will have things we need. I’ve never been very good at making a list of goals for the new year and even if I did make those list they would never get done, but then again, I'm the one that makes list for everything and they never all get done. So what have I been up to you ask. Well, I started working as a Independent Scentsy Consultant last year March 3, 2011. I was more then overwhelmed with starting my own small independent business. Would it work, can I even talk to people about it, will anyone even by this, is my husband going to kill me for spending money we do not have. I jumped in head first with this one people. I had no clue what Scentsy was at all. I had never even been to one of there home parties. I just found it online and thought maybe I can do this I love candles and this is so much safer to have in our house then an open flamed candle. I had my first party and did pretty well and it took off from there. It's still going pretty slow but Scentsy is coming out with a lot of new things this year to keep me busy. Anyone that wants to host a party or buy just contact me and let me know...yes..yes..i just plugged Scentsy. What else well I"m being tested to see if I have diabetes not something I want to have but if I do have it, I need to get it under control fast before anything bad really happens. The rest of the family is doing great to. Let's see where to start. Deziree is now eight years old. She is one smart and sassy young lady. She loves to read, draw, dance and play sports. She has taken after her dad with the games. Wii or DS is her favorite to play right now. She is learning so much in school even though she gives us such a hard time with homework and studying for her spelling test she's smart and can do anything if she puts her mind to it. Deziree's been learning her multiplication the past few months and is doing great but now they have just started teaching her division so were off to a rough few weeks until she gets use to doing division. Jackson turned two this past Thanksgiving. He had a Elmo birthday party and of course got spoiled. He looks just like his daddy and acts like him too. I think he has got everyone wrapped around his pink and melts the hearts of all the girls/women he meets. He loves to play with his cars, trucks and of coarse take his sisters toys from her. He watches anything that is on TV and gets ticked off if they go on commercial. He know's his ABC and were starting to count with him a lot more. Were also in the process of potty training which isn't going to well at the moment, but I'm sure he will get the hang of it. About two weeks ago we changed his crib into a toddler day bed and he loves it. He's been doing great at naps and night time. Eric is still working hard to provide for us. He is the best husband and the worlds greatest daddy ever. His birthday is right around the corner which means red lobster dinner for him soon. It will also be our 15th year together can you believe that. Were did the time go. Seems like just yesterday we were dating. Prickles..well I hate to tell everyone but we had to put her to sleep this past July and believe me its not something we wanted to do at all. She was 13 years old and was going down hill fast. We miss her so much but we know she is better in doggie haven eating all the bones she wants. We will be getting a new puppy soon. I hope at the end of February. I will let everyone know when that happens. There's a lot more that's been going on my brother Richard got married back in September to Ciji. She has two kids of her own so now my brother has a total of four kids. He's in for some trouble in a few years they will all be teenagers at the same time. Glad it's not me I think I'd keel over. My sister Holly is still living down in Ohio. She comes up to visit as much as she can. Even though we would love for her to be up here closer to us we all understand why you are down there. My brother Ryan is doing good he's got a good job and is living with my mom and dad. What you say your mom and dad?? Well yup I said mom and dad not step-dad or step-mom. Both my parents went though divorces. My mom moved in with us for a few months but when my step-mom just up and left my dad with really no warring , my mom moved in to take care of him. He's capable of doing a lot of things but he's in bad shape and there's somethings that he just can't do or isn't able to do because of is heart. It's very odd to have my parents back together after twenty plus years of them being with other people but if there happy then so be it.  OK I think that's enough rambling for today!

I think I'm getting depressed again

Sometimes I wonder why we even try to make our life get better. Something always goes wrong, something breaks down and needs to be fixed or replaced. The last time anything even went our way is the day I found out I was pregnant with Jackson. That was the best but in the long run I feel that I messed up our lives even more pushing for him before we got into a bigger home. ( I would never change having him he's my life)
For the last ten years we have been looking at house's..yes I said ten years. It's not that we haven't found a house that we would love to move into, we have found more then one. The problem we have is were afraid of getting a house and not being able to afford the payments. Then in the end losing everything we have because we lose the house that we couldn't afford to pay for.
I'm scared that my kids are going to grow up in this two bedroom trailer and have to share a room. They shouldn't have to. They deserve to have a room of there own. I'm at a loss of what to do. Do we take a risk and apply for a loan and get a house that we might not be able to afford or do we stay here. We have lived in this trailer since 1999 and we have done somethings to it but it's just so old that it's not worth putting to much money into it, we would never get the money we put in it back if we were to sell it. If it was to even sell.

Post Office, Library and Smoothie Stops!

Wow..When I think back to just having Deziree and not Jackson it was a lot easiers to do all the chores around the house and out in the car. Not that I would change having him for anything in this world. Taking two kids into the post office not so bad Deziree looks and still ask's for all the pretty stamps and Jackson just smiles. Next stop was the Library renewed my books to finish, found out Deziree is missing one of hers (has to be in the mess of a room that she has) and then she got only one to check out..all the while Jackson gets all the oooosss and ahhhs from the older ladies in there. Then stopped to get a free smoothie at McDonald's (Banana Strawberry, which is really good) and Deziree got a happy meal. Now were home and done running around and it's now 2pm we left at noon.Now to make Deziree clean her room and find the book for the library, finish the laundry, dish's and clean the living room along with feeding and changing the little man.

Family Reunion Photo Shoot

Well I had the Family Reunion to shoot today. Got there at two took about 200 photos along with a few family portrait shots. Although I"m a little upset that not one person put in a order for a CD or prints. Although some say they were going to send there money to order them. I guess I will this week if anyone really wanted them or not. I do know it will be the last time I do a reunion or any shoot for that matter with out some type of up front payment. That was three hours of my time that was used on there photos with my time and effort. 


I guess I learned a lesson!

Saturday Night!

So as I said in my about me section one of the talents I think I have is my photography. I have done my own kids photos, along with some family and freinds photos and three small weddings. This Sunday I have my first ever family reunion to shoot. It's our family friend's whole family and when I say whole I mean last count she told me that 75 r.s.v.p back to her and that was a week ago. I'm very nervous, excited, worried and happy to have the opportunity to take there family's photos.

I personally don't think that my photos are great, OK at best, but some seem to like them. I did make a site  a few years ago but never really amounted to much more then showing it off to some freinds, not that I"m looking to be a pro and do tons of shots either. For me it's more of a way to make some extra money to have my kids birthdays and give them Christmas, if I get a shot close to those months. Also a way to improve my people and working skills at the same time. So no matter what happens I will always be taking photos of my family :D

On another note my hubby isn't a mechanic at all but in this last month he has changed the front wheel bearing on our van and did a great job. Today he fixed our brakes on the car alone. I"m so proud of my husband for doing this without anyone there to help him. He may have took half the day, and even sore a lot but he did it and it's done. Great Job Baby!
